Rob Rowe...
Rob founded Gospel4Grampian in 2006. He has a real heart to reach out. There's so much he believes each person can do, so many gifts and abilities. Rob believes that he is here to share his gifts and also the love that God has given him.
Rob is married to a wonderful lassie called Helen who, like himself shares a passion for nature, photography and the outdoors. They are both countryside rangers and respectively work for neighbouring local authorities. Helen loves photographing and sharing her love of butterflies and moths. Rob loves landscape photography, nature, culture using 'techie things' and cooking which he finds very therapeutic. Clearing up the kitchen afterwards is not so pleasant!
Rob says, "If it were left to those things alone, life would have something missing. The missing link, for a long time in my life, was Jesus Christ. I want to share all my interests with others and encourage them to become everything they can be. One of the ways I can share love and compassion is with people who come to the Haven Cafe run by Aberdeen City Mission. Some of the guests have become good friends and have invited me into their lives and that is such a privilege. It is used as a platform for churches and outreach organisations to share their love and talents and to invite God back into the Grampian Region, let people know that they are loved and valued by God."
Stephen Riddler....
I was introduced to the Station by Robert Rowe and in the beginning I wasn’t too sure if it was for me or not. It wasn’t until a few weeks later that I realised how many opportunities God gives us to reach out to the lost, and how many we let pass by and it was then that I knew that it was for me.
I have a humble passion to reach out to people who may not want to come to church by reaching out for those who don’t favour being in large crowds and who may not have been to church before. I believe that todays church is generally viewed as boring and irrelevant to today’s society. As I serve the Lord through G4G I am privileged to have the opportunity to change this common perception towards God and the churches showing that we CAN be up to date and dare I say it ....cool for 2009.
COL 1:3-6 (NIV) We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints – the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth.
